Structured Client Intake

Structured workflow for structured client intake: organise the supplied facts and documents, identify missing information, draft or analyse in stages, and verify facts, authorities and assumptions before use.

Community feedback only. Editorial ordering is based on relevance, review status and currency.

This is a reusable litigation prompt from the Litigation AI Prompt Repository. It is intended for Malaysian civil litigation but can be adapted by changing the placeholders. Use the Universal Litigator Control Block first where source discipline, adversarial review and authority verification matter.

Prompt

Using the Universal Litigator Control Block, convert the client’s narrative and supplied materials into a structured litigation intake memorandum.

Produce:

1. parties, capacities, legal status, relationships and relevant identifiers;
2. the client’s objectives, both legal and commercial;
3. a neutral chronology separating confirmed events from allegations;
4. potential causes of action, defences and counterclaims, stated provisionally;
5. material facts required to establish each possible claim or defence;
6. remedies potentially available;
7. limitation, jurisdiction, standing, forum, pre-action and procedural concerns;
8. evidence already available and the fact each item may prove;
9. missing documents and missing instructions;
10. contradictions, credibility concerns and adverse facts;
11. urgent preservation, protective or interlocutory steps;
12. a prioritised list of follow-up questions written directly for the client.

End with a concise “Immediate Next Steps” table stating the action, purpose, responsible person and deadline or urgency.
